To win in Teamsters Trivia you must be one of first two people correctly answered the question of the contest (Only ONE submission per person, Per Month please. Any additional entry will be discarded).

The question is updated once a month, so please check with us often.

Q: "The name "Pigeon Roost" is?

A. A bar that was popular among freight Teamsters in West Tampa in the early 1970's. It was Located next to the Howard Hall Company terminal. Rooms there were rented by the hour.

B. Was actually a wooded tract of land owned by Teamster member Maurice Canary. It was noted for dove hunting as well as Trap & Skeet competitions.

C. Was the nickname of Local 79's Union hall on Deckle Avenue in Tampa. Pigeons had free access into the hall itself and would roost and nest in the rafters over the general membership meeting room.

D. Was a high ridge (Hill) that bordered 3 Trucklines with Local 79 members. It served as a vantage point whereby company activity could be monitored during strikes.
